The 2024 Quartzfest Distance Challenge Was Big!
|
| In addition to our prizes for each class, we gave away a SteppIR 20M Dipole Antenna which was donated by SteppIR! They were very please about the level of enthusiasm over this prize, and have told us they would like to continue with another antenna for next year's Quartzfest Distance Challenge. |

The 3rd Annual Northern Arizona DX Association's QuartzFest Distance Challenge event at the 2022 QuartzFest is now complete (except for the bragging!) The idea was to put all of those great antennas brought to the QF site to good use and see who can make the longest distance QSO! All QF registered attendees had a chance to enter the competition on Monday January 24th, Tuesday January 25th, and Thursday, January 27th. There were big and small prizes (and a lot of bragging rights going to the winners) for a total of $2600 in prizes givne out to the 4 winners and runners up from sponsors like Heil Ham Radio, Cable X-perts, Alpha Antennas, DX Store, Comet Antennas, MP Antenna, N3FJP Software, DX Engineering, and Lowell Observatory.
